College Ward Winter Festival 2026

Join us for Councillor Johnson's annual College Ward Winter Festival! 

Date: Sunday, February 22nd from 11 AM to 2 PM 

Location: Ben Franklin Place (101 Centrepointe Drive)

 

The Winter Festival will offer a variety of activities, from outdoor skating on the Ben Franklin Place rink, with complimentary hot chocolate, as well as a wide range of indoor activities hosted by community organizations and City of Ottawa departments. Whether you are looking to spend some time skating and enjoying the winter weather, participate in indoor, family-friendly crafts and activities, or learn more about services and programs available in the community, there will be something for everyone to enjoy! 

 

Free Hot Chocolate and Food provided by Scotty's Diner, The Prep Kitchen, and East Side Marios- Bells Corners 

 

This year's Winter Festival will also have free face painting at the event sponsored by the Rotary Club of Nepean-Kanata, as well as a magic show and a choir performance hosted in the Councillor's Chambers Room of Ben Franklin Place during the event.

11:45 AM - 12 PM: Opening Remarks from Councillor Laine Johnson

12 - 12:45 PM: Kids' Magic Show by The Duke of Magic, Luc Leduc 

1 - 1:45 PM: Performance by The Canadian Showtime Chorus
