Want to learn more about the Pinecrest Stormwater Pond and the benefits of the pond for our community, like slowing erosion and flood reduction? Come learn more about the Pinecrest Stormwater Ponds with Councillor Laine Johnson on Saturday, July 5th from 10:30 AM to 12 PM.
Rain Ready Ottawa will lead a guided tour of the pond starting at 11 AM. Our friends over at Rideau Valley Conservation Authority will also lead a microscope collection activity to explore what is present in the ponds.
If you plan to drive to this event, please note that there is no parking available at the pond itself, so plan to park on a near side street. Baseline Station near Algonquin College is a 15-minute walk (5-minute bike ride) from the Stormwater Pond for those using public transportation.
